The land shaded in orange below is owned by Kent County Council. They have owned it since the 19th February 1982. It is situated between the Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys (Canterbury) just of the Nackington Rd, and The Kent & Canterbury Hospital. It is a crucial piece of land if in any event a new hospital is to be built in Canterbury.
Land became KCC’s in 1982
The land will be needed to allow the 2000 homes plus a new hospital to be built in Canterbury.
It is known that Quinn Estates along with Atlas Partners Group Ltd (APG Ltd), owned by Mr Nicholas Brown, yes he who owns the former White Lion Pub in Cheriton and is firmly offshore in the British Virgin Islands, have both expressed an interest in the land. Now APG Ltd are a company who find themselves £302 in the red according to their only accounts registered at companies house in May 2018. There is also an unknown third party who too has expressed an interest in the land. However, none of them hold an exclusive position with KCC on the land shown above.
We now understand though a fourth party is hovering around the land and may soon express an interest in purchasing it too. It would appear that this piece of land is fast becoming the most popular site in Britain!

Myself and some local residents who live not to far from the site may also put in a bid to purchase the land, so make that a fifth contender.
I feel this would have legs and as a Canterbury resident would gladly join this movement.
