Cllr Roger Wilkins cast doubt over Romney Marsh nuclear dump

According to Cllr Roger Wilkins at a meeting of Dymchurch Parish Council  on Monday 4th February, he stated that the Romney Marsh Partnership and and  Dungeness Site Stakeholders Group ” are not looking to do anything else about  declaring an interest in a nuclear dump. This casts doubt over the whole nuclear dump project, and whether it will or will not be going ahead.

Cllr Wilkins is the Chair of the Romney Marsh Partnership and a member of the Dungeness Site Stakeholders Group so would talk with some authority as he has privy to information, that most do not. On the Dungeness Site Stakeholders group also sits Cllr Clive Goddard and Cabinet Member for Special Projects, Cllr David Godfrey, neither have publicly denied Cllr Wilkins assertions.

We can add to this by saying at the last Dungeness Site Stakeholders Group, held on Thursday 10th January in New Romney, the group received an update on the Geological Disposal Facility. What was siad is not yet known, but could Cllr Wilkins have been echoing what was said at that meeting?

Why are kentonline always behind you on this story and many others? The commentator who said they were repeaters not reporters hit the nail on the head. Keep up the good work.
