The most popular site in Britain- Part 3

The land shaded in orange below is owned by Canterbury City Council (CCC). This land is on the south east side of Stuppington Lane, Canterbury. It is a crucial piece of land if in any event a new hospital is to be built in Canterbury.

This land is vital in the event a new hospital is built in Canterbury

We know that CCC received an offer on the land from Quinn Estates on the 24/05/18 and that Atlas Partners Group Ltd submitted and expression of interest in the land on the 18/05/2018.

We now know that a further two parties are interested in the land and that they will submit offers to KCC and CCC in the next few weeks.

It is known that the Chief Executive of Canterbury City Council – Colin Carmichael (pictured) had a meeting at Kent County Council’s offices  and took place on 5 April 2018. This related to land ownership issues.

As we understand neither of the two sites have been marketed, nor is there a defined announcement date, nor is there a formal tender process or bid criteria in place yet, as we understand.

Both KCC and CCC  have made it clear to Quinn Estates and Atlas Partners Group Limited, who have expressed an interest and made offers that they do not undertake to accept the highest, nor indeed any offers, and reserves the right to require selected bidders to submit further bids by a date to be specified, if deemed appropriate.
