UK Room received over £200,000 from Folkestone & Hythe District Council for nightly lets and B & B

On the 26th July 2010 the company UK Room (London) Ltd came into being. The two directors of the company were Elliot Louis Benezra and Adam Marc Harris. On the 15/03/19 according to The Gazette, a petition to wind up the company was made by HMRC. The last payments made by Folkestone & Hythe District Council (F&HDC) to UK Room (London) Ltd for nightly lets was the 9th April 2019 for £1,092.

On 16th March 2018 UK Room Imperial Limited was born. It offered Bed & Breakfast Accommodation and Self Contained Nightly lets. Folkestone & Hythe District Council began using this company in July 2019, four months after its formation.  They paid UK Room Imperial Ltd £570, for B & B accommodation.  The last payment made was on the 18th April for £3,786. The company’s confirmation statement is overdue and there has been an application to strike the company off companies house register on the 18th July. The directors were as above plus Peter John Goodkind.

On the 16 March 2018 UK Room Management Ltd was formed. The two directors were Elliot Louis Benezra and Adam Marc Harris, who are common to all four companies. The company received its first payment from F&HDC of £3,375 on the 5th March 2019 for self contained nightly lets. It received it’s last payment on the 11th June for £6,210. However, on the 4th June it received its First Gazette notice for compulsory strike-off. 

There is something not quite right with these companies. Our gut instinct says they need a closer look. So over the next few weeks we will be taking a much closer look at these companies. Whatever we find we will bring you the results.
