Kent Police Have Chosen NOT To Use Their Drones During Covid-19 Lockdown

At the beginning of covid-19 lockdown there was drone footage appearing across the national press of people seemingly flouting the lockdown. One instance was the people taking a walk in the Peak District which was filmed on a drone owned by Derbyshire Police who vigorously defended themselves
Kent Police have six drones at its disposal. But so far, they have not deployed them to help enforce social distancing – and has no plans to do so at this stage. Nor have officers set up any roadblocks across the county.
However, between 2017 and March 12th 2020, Kent Police have deployed their drones for operational purposes 275 times.
If we all adhere to the social distancing rules and the govt guidance on leaving our homes over this Easter weekend, Kent Police will have no need to introduce the use of their drones, like other forces have done.
Have the Best Easter you can under the given circumstances.
