Doctor and Local Care Home Staff report resident deaths within 48/72 hours of Oxford/Astra Zeneca vaccine being administered
The number of females over 60 registered at GP surgeries in the Folkestone & Hythe District as of the 1st Jan 2021 equals 33% or 19,180 females of the total female population in the district.
What is concerning is that the target audience for phase one roll-out was to the very age group where the least evidence has been provided as to the efficacy and possible side-effects of the vaccine. This is after all a group with more underlying conditions than younger cohorts and it is impossible to say to what extent, if any, the vaccine waa the cause of this spike. Will there be a detailed analysis as to cause of death e.g post mortem? That said, wife and I have have been jabbed, and yes, she had an adverse reaction for a few days.
As a manger of a care home in the district, four of our residents passed away within 2 days of the vaccine. Yes they had other medical issues. Yes GPs were called, but were told reaction would pass.
Although not medically qualified, each of the residents suffered quite severe reactions, and there is a distinct possibility this may have helped them on their way.
As the post rightly says, nobody is saying the Oxford/Astra Zeneca vaccine is ineffective, just simply not enough data. Thanks for bringing this issue to a wider audience.
My family x3 work in care homes none of them think anyone has died from the injection. Which care homes have name them . Most homes lost people due to the cov19 infected being sent to them
As you make clear, all residents in care homes in the district were vaccinated by the 31st Jan. A week later many of those deaths from a possible reaction may well not be available except evidence on death certificate, but I doubt that.
So the evidence could have easily been buried as nobody wants to hear the bad news that the Oxford/Astra Zeneca vaccine, where so little data was available for the over 65s, might have been killing the very people it was meant to help.

As a senior care home worker of 20 years standing, I witnessed two residents receive the vaccine have a severe reaction. 111 were called and staff were informed the reaction will pass in 48 hours. It did because the resident died sadly.
Medical certificate of cause of death was completed even though the two residents were not seen by any medical practitioner during their last illness. Doctor need only state to the best of their knowledge and belief the cause of death. GP was informed by senior care home staff the two resident deaths were natural causes, old age and other co-morbidities such as – Cardiorespiratory failure, Recurrent urinary tract infections etc.
For those of you not aware, there is no statutory age limit or restriction on referring to ‘old age’, a death certified as due to old age or senility alone will usually be referred to the coroner, unless the deceased was 80 or older, both these residents were 80+.
So managerial staff in my care home helped skew the facts and hide vital evidence useful to Oxford/Astra Zeneca. It is easy to do especially in the middle of a pandemic, as eyes are diverted elsewhere.
As a local GP, the phenomena explained in the article sits perfectly with what I have experienced. In my opinion I honestly believe some senior managerial staff have coerced their junior care home staff to mislead myself and my colleagues about what the cause/s of death were.
I certainly can see a spike in medical certificates for the cause of death for those in care homes I deal with in Jan 2021. Although it won’t make me popular, I’m certain other local GPs can see the same.
Forget the hoha show on social media; which has no doubt unfolded. For me this is sensible and responsible reporting.
My mum was at Philbeach in Hythe. She received the vaccine had a reaction and died. I understand deaths due to reactions of the vaccine at Philbeach was in double digits.
Getting the true story out of the managers was like getting blood out of a stone. Haven’t seen the death certificate yet, but when I do I’ll let you know what it says. Keep up the good work.
@A H. Same here mum at Philbeach had vaccine, reacted and died. Told manager was on holiday and deptuy manager to busy to talk. Junior staff member gave me scant details. Haven’t managed to get to the bottom of it yet, but I’m sure now manager is back from her hols, I might just get an answer, but I’m not holding my breath.
Same here Philbeach, or as it’s called now, Saltwood Care Centre on Tanner’s Hill. It was my dad though. They’ve been very cagey about everything and I don’t trust either the manager or deputy to tell the truth
It’s more likely than not the Oxford/Astra Zeneca Vaccine side effects played a role in the demise of the elderly in care homes, who will have had other illnesses. Fever, muscular pain and respiratory issues etc, would not have helped their other conditions.
How the hell the MHRA can say the Oxford/Astra Zeneca vaccine is not the cause or even contributory factor in the demise of the elderly, given only two over 65s were infected with Covid is beyond me.

I am concerned about all of this on here. The problem is that these vaccines are a completely new type, never been used before, there has not been enough data in enough time to collect this information. The comments on here may be right or they may be wrong. Unless every case has been properly diagnosed there will be no right outcome. It is scary but so is dying of Covid. The MHRA don’t say that there isn’t a connection, they say that they don’t believe it is connected. What else can they say at the moment? I know covering up goes on. I am a retired Nurse, I have run Nursing Homes/Care Homes, it does not surprise me but what can we do now? I have Lung disease, COPD, Bronchiectasis and Asthma. I need my vaccine but am afraid. Tomorrow I will be speaking to my Respiratory Consultant. I will be asking her her opinion on this. I will add comments later.

4. Conclusion
At the time of this report, more than 110,000 people in the UK have died within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus. Rates of infection and hospitalisation with COVID-19 remain high.
Vaccination is the single most effective way to reduce deaths and severe illness from COVID-19. A national immunisation campaign has been underway since early December 2020.
In clinical trials, the Pfizer/BioNTech and Oxford University/AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines have demonstrated very high levels of protection against symptomatic infection. We expect data to be available soon on the impact of the vaccination campaign in reducing infections and illness with COVID-19 in the UK.
All vaccines and medicines have some side effects. These side effects need to be continuously balanced against the expected benefits in preventing illness.
Following widespread use of these vaccines across the UK, the vast majority of suspected adverse reaction reports so far confirm the safety profile seen in clinical trials. Most reports relate to injection site reactions (sore arm for example) and generalised symptoms such as a ‘flu-like’ illness, headache, chills, fatigue, nausea, fever, dizziness, weakness, aching muscles, and rapid heartbeat. Generally, these reactions are not associated with more serious illness and likely reflect an expected, normal immune response to the vaccines.
Following very substantial exposure across the UK population, no other new safety concerns have been identified from reports received to date, and for the cases of other medical conditions reported in temporal association with vaccination, the available evidence does not currently suggest that the vaccine caused the event.
The overall safety experience with both vaccines is so far as expected from the clinical trials. The expected benefits of the vaccines in preventing COVID-19 and serious complications associated with COVID-19 far outweigh any currently known side effects. As with all vaccines and medicines, the safety of COVID-19 vaccines is a continuously monitored and benefits and possible risks remain under review.
We take every report of a suspected ADR seriously and encourage everyone to report through the Yellow Card scheme.
Like I said, I would get back on here after my chat this morning with my brilliant Respiratory Consultant. The team have researched for themselves this very thing. They cannot find any other reports that are particularly worrying. The information gained has come only from their hundreds of patients in and around the hospital, WH in Kent. There is, as it says in the above report no information coming in from any other source. The problem is that it is too early to come to any conclusions. Having hundreds of their own patients the Respiratory team have have had a good chance to observe what’s going on in their hospital and locally and I was told that they were making sure that they interview and follow up all vaccinated patients, lots with co- morbidities and in their opinion they have not observed any deaths in direct relation to the jabs. There has been some allergic reactions and two to three deaths due to severe allergy (anaphylaxis). My Consultant told me that the medical team had had a meeting to discuss when/if they were going to have their own jabs. It made me laugh and made her seem more human when she said that they had decided against to start with and then by December when the numbers were increasing they all looked at each other and said we’ll have the jabs! None of the medical team had any other side effects than raised temperature, muscle aches and some feeling a bit unwell for a couple of days.
I hope that this has been helpful but it would be a good thing to get in all the other information from Nursing and Residential homes. I personally would like to know what other medical problems these poor people had and there could be many. The process is complicated and I feel that it will be slow and maybe we will never know.

We’ve been informed that the side effects of the jabs along with other co-morbidities could push the resident over the edge. It is this effect that most care home staff and GPs are saying have caused the death.
As the article says, the jab is safe but with elderly people with other significant co-morbidities, the side effects of the jabs have contributed towards residents deaths.

This is a typical fake news article. There have been NO DEATHS attributed to the vaccines. If you are going to have a reaction it will be within the first 15 minutes of having the vaccination. I find it perverse that there are those out there trying to persuade people not to get vaccinated. THEY WANT YOU TO DIE!.
