Doctor and Local Care Home Staff report resident deaths within 48/72 hours of Oxford/Astra Zeneca vaccine being administered

A doctor in a local care home has reported to us, residents who have received the Oxford/Astra Zeneca vaccine, have died within 48/72 hours of receiving it. Similar incidences have been reported to us by care home staff across the Folkestone & Hythe District and elsewhere, both male and female, aged 65+ have died within 48/72 hours of receiving the Oxford/Astra Zeneca vaccine.
Each resident is known to have suffered a side effect from the Oxford/Astra Zeneca vaccination. Each resident had more than two known medical conditions. It is possible a causal link between the vaccination and other know medical conditions could have caused the residents deaths. It is necessary to eliminate all factors, and the one which remains must be the truth. Until this is done we cannot know if the two are, or are not linked.
For clarity: we are NOT saying the Oxford/Astra Zeneca vaccine is ineffective, nor are we saying the vaccine .
In one such care home based in Hythe, 11 residents died within 48/72 hours of receiving the Oxford/Astra Zeneca vaccine when it was rolled out there in Jan 2021. Each of them suffered from a side effect after receiving the vaccine. The manager and deputy manager were contacted last week regarding the reports made by care home staff, but a response there has come none.
Care home staff have spoken to us; and this prompted us to speak to more than 15 care homes across Ashford, Dover, Folkestone & Hythe and Thanet who all confirm a distinct spike in deaths within 48/72 hours of residents receiving the Oxford/Astra Zeneca vaccine. All staff made it clear all residents had suffered a reaction to the vaccination.
In the absence of direct evidence of their GP, or from a post mortem, the direct causal link cannot be established. So it is absolutely vital to eliminate all other factors, and the one which remains must be the truth. This means there are valid questions to be asked and answered, given that each suffered a reaction to the vaccine.
The Shepway Vox Team also contacted Astra Zeneca last week, as well as the MHRA, but again a response there has come none.
On the 30th Jan 2021, Tuan Nyugen on behalf of The Total Health Excellence Primary Care Network (Sandgate Road Surgery, Guildhall Street Surgery, Manor Clinic, The New Surgery, Lydden Surgery, Aylesham Surgery and White Cliffs Medical Centre) and Channel Health Alliance Ltd, said by that date, all care homes within Folkestone, Dover and Deal had been vaccinated.
Again Tuan Nyugen was contacted for comment but a response there has come none.
The number of females over 60 registered at GP surgeries in the Folkestone & Hythe District as of the 1st Jan 2021 equals 33% or 19,180 females of the total female population in the district.
The number of males over 60 registered at GP surgeries in the district as of the 1st Jan 2021 is 30% or 16,832.
The MHRA have found around one in ten people will experience side effects after having the vaccine. Information on adverse reactions can be found here. Most will be unrelated to the vaccine but some will be. Hence why the deaths which care home staff are reporting as happening in care homes in the district need immediate investigation by the MHRA and Astra Zeneca.
Nothing in a pandemic has a better benefit:risk ratio than vaccines. That said, all vaccination should be voluntary and all vaccines should be protected by the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme.
Other European regulatory bodies have concluded there is insufficient data regarding older people, such as Germany, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, Spain and Poland only recommend the Oxford/Astra Zeneca for people under 65, and Italy and Belgium for those under 55. And Switzerland – not an EU country – has ruled against approving the vaccine for any age group due to there not being enough data yet on safety, effectiveness and quality.
To be clear, other national regulatory agencies have concluded there is insufficient evidence on older people, but they certainly did not suggest the vaccine was ineffective. Nor are we.
So we ask: why have the MHRA, Astra Zeneca, Tuan Nyugen and the Hythe care home all failed to comment?
As Tuan Nyugen has stated, all care home staff and residents had been vaccinated by the 30th Jan 2021, in our district, meaning some of those deaths reported by care home staff of happening within 48/72 hours of the vaccine being administered need to be investigated urgently.
Transparency over data and safety reporting of the Oxford/Astra Zeneca vaccine is key, as it is for all other approved vaccines. The pharmaceutical industry has dragged its feet over putting all data, for all trials, in the public domain. And all those organisations remaining silent after numerous attempts at contacting them for comment, would appear to substantiate what frontline staff in care homes in the district have witnessed.
