Dymchurch Dippers Poem Calls Out Southern Water Sewage in the Bay
The Ballad Of The Beautiful Bay Spoiled by Dirty Water.
The sun is shining, it’s a beautiful day,
I want to swim across the bay,
What’s that I spy in the water yonder,
Is it worth a look I wonder.
Getting closer I’m dismayed,
It’s Southern Water’s gift of the day,
Just for us because we pay,
They send this shit into the bay.
They tell us their working to clean it up,
Hoping one day we’ll shut up,
But we are mermaids, bathers and dippers
And want clean water for us and our nippers.
So southern water up your game
And save us from this daily pain.

Brilliant. Love the song. Thank you.
Wonderful Poem. And a great song too.
Brilliant. A folk protest song.
That brings back the old days!
