Who is Shepwayvox?

Who is ShepwayVox, well it is . . . No seriously, Shepwayvox is not one person, we are a group of like minded individuals from all walks of life, who wish to hold power to account.  None of us get paid, we all do this in our free time. Sometimes traditional media cannot publish for lack of space, or due to cut backs into investigative journalism as it takes time and is expensive. This is not a criticism of the KM or Herald, we all naturally have our limitations – even us.

Shepwayvox wishes to investigate power and those who hold it regardless of political affiliation here in Shepway. Party politics does not interest us. The Public’s perception of local politicians was damaged long before we came on the scene. Broken Promises, Expenses Scandal and much much more.

We have seen democracy damaged locally. Transparency, Accountability, Openness are slowly being eroded. The people of Shepway have a right to be treated respectfully by any elected or unelected official regardless of their affiliation and to be told the truth. Honesty, Integrity and Respect of the electorate of Shepway all but disappears once any elected official wins at the polls. We aim to remind them that we are here, still watching, still researching, still holding elected and unelected officials to account.
