The Shepwayvox Team can confirm that Folkestone & Hythe District Council are “actively considering” purchasing the Aldi site in Hythe. A variety of sources have confirmed, including two Cabinet Members, who attended the informal Cabinet meeting held at the Civic Centre on Tuesday 9th Oct.
It is understood that the site will NOT officially go live for sale until next week, thus giving the Council time to consider their decision regarding any purchase and make an offer. We understand the price will be in the £2 million pound region.
The Shepwayvox Team cannot say, what if any purpose the land/building would be put to in the eventuality the property is purchased by the Council.
