History of Pensand House & Marlborough Court

It begins back in 1987, the year Rick Astley’s – Never Gonna Give You Up remained at No 1 for five weeks.

On the 29th May 1987 a charge for a mortgage was raised from Barclays Bank in London by a company in the name of Kenlee Ltd registered in the Isle of Man. The monies was for the land between South Road & Marine Parade Hythe Kent as compromised in a conveyance dated 29/05/1987.

On the 10/07/1987, Kenlee Ltd purchased the freehold land where Pensand House & Marlborough Court now stand according to the land registry.

Just over a month later they submit a planning application SH/87/1023 to the then Shepway District Council to  build Pensand House & Marlborough Court. On the planning application (page 5), Kenlee Ltd although registered as a company in the Isle of Man gives an address based in Guernsey. Both Islands are offshore tax havens.

Kenlee Ltd was dissolved in May 1992 and there are no named directors or shareholder documents available as far as we have been able to ascertain. But talking to various people who were directly involved with the construction of Pensand House & Marlborough Court, they are and we are of the honest opinion that at least one of the directors/shareholders of Kenlee Ltd (Isle of Man) was Geoffrey George Boot, (pictured above right). Geoffrey is currently selling his house on the Isle of Man for £3.6 million according to Cowley Groves the Isle of Man’s leading independent estate agent

So Pensand House & Marlborough Court began its life in the hands of an offshore company registered on the Isle Of Man at Derby House (2nd Floor), Athol Street, Douglas. Years ago Athol Street was referred to locally as the Street of Thieves, before the current rigorous offshore financial centre standards were enforced.

The construction of Pensand House & Marlborough Court was undertaken by Larchimage whose companies eventually ended up going bankrupt, or being dissolved due to financial difficulty. Larchimage’s main director and owner was Tony Walton, former Chairman of Hythe Town Football Club in the late eighties and early nineties.

The next step in this story begins in July 1992 when Snap’s Rhythm is a Dancer was riding high in the charts.

On the 30/07/92 Northlands Housing Association Limited purchase the property for an undisclosed sum, according to the land registry. Northlands held onto the property until the 3/12/1996, the month the Spice Girls – 2 Become 1 reached No 1.

Chelsea Portfolio Ltd (CPL) purchased the property on the 3/12/1996, they in turn are and were owned by Frasertown Ltd registered in Gibraltar another offshore tax haven. Frasertown Ltd in 1996 was owned by Valmet & Finsbury Nominees Ltd, who so the Times (see article below as well) claim were owned by Roman Abramovich.

There is NO evidence to the contrary in the public domain which shows/proves, Mr Abramovich (pictured) has sold or lost control of Valmet or Finsbury Nominees Ltd as far as we are aware. After making extensive searches of various company registers around the world, it is our honest opinion that Mr Abramovich remains the direct beneficial owner of Pensand House & Marlborough Court.

Nationwide and now other agencies, so we understand, are now investigating the money used to purchase Pensand House & Marlborough Court, by CPL in 1996, as there are plausible suspicions with an objective basis to believe the money used was laundered money. It must be remembered any investigation does NOT imply guilt.

Now tenants of Pensand House House & Marlborough Court have received another letter from DAC Beachcroft, CPL’s preferred solicitors. It makes clear that tenants who are not in debt can remain for another year. They also accuse the Shepwayvox Team and Hythe Town Councillor Laura Sullivan for tenants leaving the property. Now we make it very clear, the only people responsible for tenants leaving Pensand House or Marlborough Court are Mr John Steven Taylor (pictured) of Homewise Management Services who lives on the property and acts as a caretaker come gofer. And Mr Taylor’s boss, who is the sole director of CPL, Sanjay Ashok Sharma, who is a lackey for his master who own Frasertown Ltd in Gibraltar. They and they alone can sanction any eviction or cause sufficient anxiety causing people to leave of their own volition or being forced out under s21 or s8 of the Housing Act 1988.

Furthermore, it would seem presumptuous of the director of CPL Sanjay Ashok Sharma that any investigations will be wound up in a year and that he and his gofer can begin evicting tenants once again.

Anyway, as you can see the history of Pensand House & Marlborough Court, demonstrates its pedigree was offshore, onshore and then offshore again. It would appear, as there is no evidence to the contrary in the public domain, that Mr Roman Abramovich has been the owner since 1996.
