Save Princes Parade

Thirty five years ago Princes Parade was in the Folkestone & Hythe District Herald newspaper not once but twice. On the 17th Feb 1984 the Herald ran the following article:

Six weeks later on the 30/3/84 Princes Parade was once again in the Herald.

Thirty five years on Princes Parade comes before the Folkestone & Hythe District Council Planning Committee sometime in Feb or beyond as the January Planning committee meeting has been cancelled. Princes Parade has been saved more than once according to the potted history on the Save Princes Parade website.

We can if we work together as a community save it once again.

So come on people in 2019 lets make it a new year’s resolution to – Save Princes Parade.

  1. Is it the lack of planning officers at the Council which is possibly holding up the planning application!!!!

So February at the earliest before any application will now be heard , can it be pushed back until after May 2019? Here’s hoping.

Well done to the SV Team for the heads up.

Do you mean after May 2019 or Theresa May. The significance of your comment, if some are unaware, is the local District election. Let’s all hope that the parasitic Councillors that support the desecration of our open spaces get their just desserts.

  3. With someone with a young family, I hope the Council actually gets a move on and grants this approval. We need to be forward looking and allow this to go ahead rather than listen to the NIMBYs!
