We understand that Cllr Jacqui Meade (Lab) – pictured – has been put forward to become the first Labour Mayor of Folkestone in eighteen years. This will take place at the Folkestone Town Council meeting for Mayor making on the 14th May at the Town Hall, Folkestone. If Ms Meade becomes Mayor, she will be the first Labour Mayor since John Stockham, who was Mayor between 1999 – 2001.
We understand Cllr Ray Field (Lab) (pictured) will be her deputy, but of course nothing can be absolutely confirmed until it happens. The Folkestone & Hythe Labour Party met earlier today to put forward the motion, discuss it and then vote on it as you can see below.
If humour hurts then so be it. Our public face did not get elected as you say, but at least he is not sending out HATE MAIL to anyone as Labour members are to him. Is this the typical behaviour one can expect from Labour locally? Is it the new labour diktat oppose everyone who disagree with Labour locally?
Love the video spot on humour, I’m sure they’ll be some who will feel offended. Eighteen years is a long time in the wilderness. Keep up the good work.

Dissent is not a crime, but attacking a party because your public face failed is disingenuous. At least give them a chance after 18 years.

naughty naughty shepway vox
What is naughty using humour what next we the team ask, banning laughter as well. Will that be the first diktat handed down by Labour locally?
