Record Breakers: Folkestone & Hythe District Council Break Two Records in One Day

It’s getting to be a habit with Folkestone & Hythe District Council breaking records.  – 1; – 2; – 3

For the seventeenth (17th) year in a row, Folkestone & Hythe District Council has the highest council tax rate of all the districts in Kent.

Band D council tax is the standard measure of council tax (all other bands are set as a proportion of the Band D) and is the council tax payable on a Band D dwelling occupied as a main residence by at least two adults, after any reductions due to discounts, exemptions or local council tax support schemes.

This is their fourth recording breaking feat, but alas not the latest.

The second record they have broken, bringing Folkestone & Hythe District Council number of record to FIVE, is for payouts for non-disclosure agreements to former employees.

Folkestone & Hythe have paid out more to keep ex employees quiet than any other District council in Kent over the last five financial years.
