On the 13th June 2016, the Shepway Green Party via their website published an article making it clear they were opposed to the development.
On the 15th November 2016 at 7.00pm at Lympne Castle, Kent County Councillor Cllr Martin Whybrow (Green Party) backed and supported the No Otterpool New Town campaign. He made that statement in front of many Lympne Residents, who were present.
In the audience was future Green Cllr, Lesley Whybrow (pictured left), who too supported the No Otterpool New Town campaign.
Then on Dec 3rd 2016 there was a demonstrations outside the council office which went into Folkestone Town Centre. That’s where Jim Martin, now Cllr Jim Martin (Green Party) used the information from our website that Cllr Monk was a former double glazing salesman.
Then in Feb 2018 KCC Green Cllr Martin Whybrow, endorsed and signed a letter-to-Theresa May then Prime Minister, which outlined the deep concerns many had about Otterpool and called for a local referendum on the matter.
The Shepway Green Party can say what they like about Otterpool, but they were and have been opposed to it being built. They can air brush history by destroying evidence and videos. They can place fake news on their website, but for all intents and purposes, they are just like any other political party… they flatter to deceive to get elected.
