A Grand Crime Solved!
The unsolved mystery of who brutally assaulted Michael Stainer at the Grand in late January 2018 was solved in Canterbury Crown Court on Monday December 2nd. 36-year-old, Roy Scott (pictured below) pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm and burglary via video link from HM Prison Elmley where he is currently serving three years and eight months for burglary.

Maybe we can now nail the innuendoes and half truths emanating from the Stainers that this assault was somehow connived at by some residents.
Oh la la… in my opinion, the mystery has not been solved whatsoever! It seems that Mr & Mrs Stainer know the robber Scott and vice-versa. Indeed, Scott was not a ‘skilled “ robber , as he appeared in the court during the property tribunal hearing ( there’s nothing to do with him) to show himself off after he robbed Stainers . WHY ? WHY ??
Please help, Mr Poirot or Miss Marple ! Because the Kent police had washed their hands off on this case.
This is stranger than fiction!!
Can someone explain why the factual, repeat factual, reporting of a criminal case is being criticised by certain folk as cyber-bullying. Assault and burglary is a crime, the perpetrator has admitted his guilt, he will be sentenced. Bloody good show too!! When the crime was committed, it was widely reported and Robert Richardson was happy to be quoted and to supply images to the police. So what’s the problem now?
Was in that hotel a couple of weeks ago. The staff are imho snotty.
The staff at the Grand are the best feature and reviews invariably single them out for praise. Management, on the other hand…………..
