A Little Bit More Good News

There is more good news regarding Covid-19 deaths and recoveries at the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust (EKHUFT), which serves the districts of Ashford, Canterbury, Dover, Folkestone & Hythe and Thanet.

According to the the latest data published by EKHUFT regarding covid-19 outcomes, between 23rd March 2020 (Week 13) and June 14th 2020 (Week 24), the number of patients who had passed away from covid-19 at one of the three East Kent Hospitals, was 323. However, the number of people who recovered was 701.

This means for that period nearly seven out of every ten patients (68.5%) with Covid-19 survived.

For that we applaud all the staff of EKHUFT for their efforts. Thank you.

The one comfort we can all take from the persons passing is that each of them would have received the most powerful drug in the world – kindness. It work’s for everyone, it’s hard to get the dose wrong, and it’s free at the point of delivery. Thanks to all those who delivered this throughout the crisis.
