Cllr Goddard is a bricklayer by trade and we understand he left his previous employment with Ken Dixon Brickwork Ltd as it went intovoluntary liquidation on the 13th Feb 2020
Hard hats on building sites save lives. Being struck on the head by moving, flying or falling objects accounted for 13 per cent of worker deaths from 2014-19, and 10 per cent of all non-fatal injuries in 2019.
Moving on, we understand Clive has been working on Royal Victoria Site since late May, early June 2020 onwards.
On Tuesday the 22nd Sept 2020, the second planning application – 20/0532/FH – for the Royal Victoria Hospital comes before the planning committee and Cllr Goddard should recuse himself and abstain from voting.
Did Cllr Goddard inform the Council he was working on the site? We do hope so for Clive’s sake, as we’re sure he wouldn’t want his collar felt again by Kent Police
Let’s hope Clive does step down from the chair over this particular planning application on the 22nd Sept 2020.
But it’s not just Clive who needs to recuse himself when the next door site comes before planning. Cllr John Collier’s son is also working for Leo Griggs and Cllr David Wimble registered a company albeit for a brief speall at Leo’s home address.
It would appear Leo is very popular with both Cllrs and Council Officers. With friends like that, we think he’ll go far, even if many of you might believe all of this is a bit dubious.
