More evidence of incompetence emerges at the Council
Updated 14/03/22 – The Council have now placed the right document in the right location.
One has to admit there are times when Folkestone & Hythe District Council let themselves down so badly, they end up with more than just egg on their proverbial face.
Once again they’ve cocked up, and it is their responsibility alone.
On the planning portal at the Council’s website page entitled
About planning consultations
The second section down which states – Current Consultations it states:
The Local Development Scheme (LDS) sets out the council’s programme for the production of its Local Plan and associated documents
Then there is a link – Local Development Scheme
This link on our Council’s website takes you to Brent Council’s Local Development Scheme, NOT Folkestone & Hythe District Council’s LDS.
The pdf document is titled –
https://legacy.brent.gov.uk/media/16414732/local-development-scheme-2019-planning.pdf
and looks like this on the front page.
A Local Development Scheme is required under section 15 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 (as amended). This must specify (among other matters) the development plan documents (i.e. local plans) which, when prepared, will comprise part of the development plan for the area. It is also spelt out in the The Town and Country Planning (Local Development) (England) Regulations 2004 and the Localism Act 2011.
The Cabinet Member responsible for planning is now Cllr David Drury Monk (Con), not Cllr Wimble (Ind), as set out in Report Number A/21/24 and passed at full Council on 23 Feb 2022.
All these well paid planning officers and outsourced companies who deal with the website, cannot, according to their website, get things right.
Is it any wonder that a growing number of residents in the district think our Council epitomize, the Peter Principle, not just in theory, but in practice as well.

Being Voxatious is NOT a Crime
Alcohol imbibing and breweries come to mind
Monk . Incompetence. Those two words go together like a horse and carriage
Not only incompetance when the chief executive was told of a corrupt official asking for bribes she did nothing implying she was also bent and on the take
