Trial date set for Cllr Russell Tillson
Following a brief hearing in Maidstone Crown Court on April 19th, Councillor Russell Tillson (72) has been sent for trial on June 19th 2023.Cllr Tillson had previously pleaded not guilty at Sevenoaks Magistrates court on March 22nd on five counts of historical sexual abuse covering reported incidents involving boys in Tonbridge between 1984 and 2001.

Maidstone Crown Court was informed on April 19 the offences were alleged to have occurred between January 1984 and October 2001 in respect of three boys. Tillson is accused of grabbing the genitals of two of the complainants, rubbing the shoulder, chest and leg of one, and touching one boy’s penis.
