Petition to Save Folkestone Library will be presented to KCC representatives today.
Today, the petition to Save our Library, Folkestone Library, will be presented to elected representative of Kent County Council.

To everyone who has signed the petition – Thank You.
Kent County Council closed Folkestone’s Grade II listed central Library on Grace Hill in late March
The community campaign has seen local residents, businesses and community groups arranging protest marches, Shakespeare readings and other events to register their anger and concern.
The online petition to “fix” and reopen the Library has been accompanied by street petitions signed by well over 3,000 people. To every shop, civic society, and individuals who gave up their time to collect these signatures, we say Thank You for all your efforts.
The petition will be delivered to County Hall today at 11am. It must be considered at the next relevant Cabinet committee meeting, according to KCC’s own petition guidelines.
The committee that will more likely than not have to debate the petition is the Growth, Economic Development and Communities Cabinet Committee. This will take place on the 26 Sep 2023.
