A Power Crazy Korea Minded Politician? You decide.
Cllr David Drury Monk, 72 – a failed Double Glazing Salesman four times over– is so we are reliably informed – by a senior source within the Folkestone & Hythe Conservative Association – to stand for election in the forthcoming KCC elections in 2017.
Cllr David Drury Monk earned in his capacity as our beloved leader of SDC in 2014/15 £26,675.15. Also it must be remembered that earlier this year, SDC via an independent report recommended a raise in Cllr’s basic allowance from £3867 to £4900. However, Cllr David Drury Monk was not satisfied with £4900, so moved a motion, supported by Cllr Jennifer Hollingsbee (who earned £14,225.89) that the sum be raised to £5100. An increase of 32% while SDC employees are capped on 1%, except for senior management.
Cllr David Drury Monk a korea minded politician will stand for the Folkestone South Ward. Folkestone South’s current incumbent is Bob Neaves (UKIP).
KCC Cllrs receive a basic allowance of £12,805 (subject to PAYE) plus expenses. If KCC Cllrs sit on a committee, eg Health, Education etc, they receive a ‘Special Responsibility Allowance’ for each committee they are on. So for example, KCC Cllr Susan Carey received in 2014/15 £12,805 as a basic allowance and £42,109 in special responsibility allowances, thus making a grand total of £54,915. This sum does not include expenses for items including Travel, Food etc. Cllr Carey also claimed travel expenses of £3078 in 14/15 at 0.45p a mile. That is enough petrol to travel from Lands End to John O’Groats a little over 8 times. Therefore KCC Cllr Carey received in 2014/15 the grand total of £58,073. It must be remembered that she also earned as a SDC Cllr £6,891.63. So between her two positions she earned £64,964.63. So is it any wonder why Cllr David Drury Monk wishes to stand for election to KCC in 2017.
Cllr Monk, is a Parish Cllr, Town Cllr (both not remunerated), an SDC Cllr and a hopeful KCC Cllr in the forthcoming 2017 elections.
According to the Office of National Statistics (ONS) all levels of deprivations have got worse while Cllr David Drury Monk (SDC) has been Cllr for Folkestone Harvey Central. Is he a worthwhile candidate? Will he improve his lot, or the peoples? Is he a Korea minded politician? Is he power hungry? We’ll leave you to decide that.

Seems the area has a new “Dear Leader”.
Although he’ll never be as good as the “ex-Dear Leader” from years ago in Dymchurch.
Excellent. Power crazy Kim Jong-Monk. We think it’s about time the old boy stood down.
Would you buy double glazing from this salesman ???
OMG he got a wage for doing a full time job with a fair amount of responsibility. Tards.
Power hungry? No, definitely not. Power Crazy? Hmm, well, time will tell……
Mad, mad, mad crazy Korean.
We wonder if there is room for a Garden Town in Densole ?
Sadly you can only blame the electors of his ward, deprivation gets worse and he is re-elected wonderful.
Precisely… You only have to look at the Otterpool Park area ward to see how the last election panned out for the Tories.
And now for the time being they are all up in arms and yet I wager that in May 2020, the electors will return two Nasty Party candidates because the alternative would be too unbearable…

Judging by the document above – my assumption is that the new estate will be populated with even more Nasty Party supporters.. so problem solved ehhhhh.
What a shame there is no current opposition at the moment. Time for a few independent candidates who stand for the people!
