Another Russian at 80 Sidney Street
Aleksej Gubarev (pictured) a Russian tech entrepreneur based in Cyprus, sued BuzzFeed News for defamation after the news outlet published the infamous “Steele Dossier” outlining alleged Russian government efforts to sway the 2016 US election in favour of Donald Trump. The dossier claims Russian spies somehow used Gubarev’s Fort Lauderdale web-hosting company, Webzilla, to hack into Democratic National Committee email accounts, among other charges.
Gubarev maintains those allegations are untrue and sued BuzzFeed to prove his case. U.S. District Court Judge Ursula Ungaro threw out the lawsuit in December 2018, arguing BuzzFeed had a legal right to publish the unconfirmed dossier.
In March 2019 other sealed evidence was opened another cybersecurity expert also believes Webzilla’s servers were likely gamed by Russian spies.
So what are we doing writing about a Russian tech entrepreneur whose tech company may have been used by Russian Spies to influence the US 2016 election which brought President Trump to power.
It’s simple. Aleksej is associated with 80 Sidney Street, Folkestone, where known Russian money launderers and other friends of President Putin can be found.

Both the Belize address and the Seychelles address are evidenced in the Panama Papers. ATP Consulting Overseas Ltd was dissolved via voluntary strike-off on the 6th Nov 2018, according to Companies House.
Now since we last wrote about 80 Sidney Street in late 2016, the registered owners of the building have not changed. Both are dead. They died in 1988 and 1990 respectively. Dead people cannot own property. As such it is not possible for any company such as the local water company, the council or anyone else to take monies from any company, or person, registered at, or using this address. There is no agreement or lease arrangement for them to do so, as such, even setting up a company at 80 Sidney Street should NOT be possible. But it continues.
So once again, 80 Sidney Street played host to another Russian whose
