The site covers a 1.43 hectare plot of land and Kingston wish to build approximately 55 homes on the site. However, we suspect between 40 – 50 homes will be proposed in a planning application which given current times lines in the planning department, will be submitted in March/April 2021.
The site appears in the draft local plan under policy UA14.
Kingston Homes wish to build approx 55 homes on the 1.4 hectare site
The land according to the Land Registry is owned by St Augustine Hythe Limited, who purchased the site on the 07.12.2016 for £120,000. The sole director of the company is Nigel Fright. However, the ultimate owner of the land is Kresten Reeves LLP, based at 37 St Margaret’s St, Canterbury.
The developer – Kingston Homes – have undertaken a good number of developments in and around Hythe, their latest being Haverfield Park Cannongate Road Hythe.
The developers company, Kingston Homes Limited registered office address is 37 St. Margarets Street, Canterbury – small world!
As we understand they are three brothers, as the father Kenneth Kingston has stepped back from running the company. He has, as we understand, a penchant for flying helicopters.
Kingston Homes would welcome your feedback on the scheme to-date and can be contacted at – info@kingstonhomes.co.uk or 01303 884090.
Finally, we notice that former Hythe Town Cllr and sitting Saltwood Parish Cllr, Nick Meurice, whose house sits next to the proposed entrance of the site, placed his house on the market approx 3 months ago. Was this a coincidence, or did Nick get wind of the development and keep it under his hat?

I wish to make it clear that I have never flown a helicopter in my life.
It is true that a relative of mine does fly helicopters but he has no connection at all with Kingston Homes.
