Tory Cllr Danny Brook defects to Wimble’s Independent Party

Cllr Danny Brook (pictured) has left the Folkestone & Hythe Conservative Party and joined Cllr David Wimble’s independent party. This now makes the Tories one Cllr short at full council meetings. This makes the possibility of the Council becoming hung even more likely prior to the next local elections in May 2023.

Also, we understand the selection of candidates for the local Tories for Folkestone Central has been decided. They will be in the May 2023 elections

Dylan Jeffrey

Cllr David Monk has been selected for the North Downs East ward, which incorporates, Hawking, Densole, Swingfield, Acrise, Paddlesworth & Old Hawkinge, along with Cllr Stuart Peall and Cllr David Godfrey.

  1. Cllr David Wimble is no way an Independent. As soon as he was elected he jumped straight into bed with Monk and his Tory cronies . So Cllr Danny Brook is still a Tory councillor and will do as Monk tells him

Re the previous comment I think Peters name might in fact be Stephen!

Good riddance Danny wasn’t even a true conservative.
